Dresher is an unincorporated community located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The community is part of Upper Dublin Township and is located approximately 15 miles north of downtown Philadelphia.
Montgomery County was established in 1784 and named for Major General Richard Montgomery, a revolutionary war hero who died in the Battle of Quebec. The county covers an area of 487 square miles and has an estimated population of 829,718 as of 2019. The county seat is located in Norristown.
Dresher and Upper Dublin Township are part of the highly rated Upper Dublin School District. The area is also home to several parks and recreational facilities, including Mondauk Commons, Maple Glen Park, and the Wissahickon Trail.
